Rodney Wayne was born in Blythe, California and moved across the state line with his parents at the age of 5.  Growing up in Mesa, Arizona, he studied music all through school, playing the drums and percussion in band and orchestra.

When he entered high school, he performed in jazz band and the Mesa High School marching band.  He continued with music, playing with local rock-n-roll bands, writing songs, and dabbling in studio recording.

He then settled into a local variety band (Beggars Gin), for several years.  He sang all the country material that the band performed, discovering that he had a natural twang in his voice that people seemed to enjoy.

It was during this period Rodney decided to start learning guitar.  He went on to help form a country band with Charlie called Latigo and is now front man for the Bella Union.

Jeff Wiggins was born February, 1961 in Springfield, Mo.  He is an electrician by trade, and a musician for fun.

He has been interested in music since he was a little kid and was brought up listening to bluegrass and country.

He feels his style of play is more country rock, but he still enjoys playing the classics.  He's jammed with a lot of old timers in the past and has learned some tricks from all of them.

Jeff feels fortunate to have had some very good teachers.  Jeff's other interests are classic cars and motorcycles but says if he had to choose which hobby he enjoys most, it would be playing music.

Hi!  I'm Jim Clarke, the Bella Union bass player. I also sing some lead vocals, lots of backup vocals and sometimes I play lead/rhythm guitars as well. As a guitarist, I like to spice things up a little by throwing in a few extra little riffs here and there.

Jim was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. At the age of 13, he started playing guitar and at 17, he was playing in a small bluegrass band called the Red Mountain Boys.

After spending several years in the navy, he spent his spare time writing and recording music on an analog 4-track and did some studio work.

His daytime job required a move to Clarksville, Tennessee for several years, but he eventually transferred back to Mesa in 1997.

Meeting up with old friends in 1998, Jim got invited to come jam with the group that soon called themselves the Bella Union.

Jim Christopherson began playing drums at age 9. Throughout his school years and beyond, Jim has played percussion in rock, country, and jazz bands, marching and symphonic bands, and various orchestras and ensembles.

Jim was first introduced to country music growing up in Florida, and brought his Southeast influences to Arizona in the 1990’s.

In addition to the drums, Jim also plays guitar, writes music, and is an accomplished recording engineer.  He owns a 16 track digital studio, and has produced material for various artists.
